Supervision Services
Hospital Supervision

Our hospital supervision service is specifically designed to assist parents with children who require supervision in a hospital setting, particularly in situations where concerns have been raised by the local authority. We understand the importance of maintaining contact between parents and their children during these challenging times while ensuring the child's safety.
One of the key benefits of our service is the provision of 24/7 support by our experienced family practitioners. These professionals are available round the clock to facilitate safe contact between parents and their child. This constant availability ensures that parents can participate in their child's medical care and stay connected despite any restrictions or concerns that may be in place.
In addition to facilitating contact, our service aims to provide support during any investigations or assessments conducted by the local authority or other agencies. Our Family Practitioners prepare Daily Record Logs, which document all interactions and activities during the supervised visits. These logs can serve as valuable evidence in public and criminal investigations if necessary. By maintaining detailed records, we ensure transparency and accountability in the supervision process.
Our Family Practitioners also provide support to the parents, helping them enhance their parenting abilities and provide the best care possible for their child.
In-Home Supervision

This 24/7 service not only offers an alternative to traditional community-based assessments but also ensures a comprehensive evaluation of the parents' ability to provide for and protect their children.
The constant observation and support provided by our family practitioners guarantee a high level of protection and risk management. Their detailed daily record logs ensure that any interventions or safeguarding concerns are documented and addressed promptly.
One of the major advantages of our in-home supervision is the emotional stability it creates for both the parent and child. By allowing the child to remain in the care of their parent, it minimizes the stress and trauma associated with separation. This stability promotes emotional well-being and facilitates better engagement with key professionals and services.
Furthermore, this approach promotes emotional stability, reduces the risk of multiple placement moves and allows families to access their local community resources, ensuring continuity of support from their familiar professionals and services. Living at home also reduces distractions and allows parents to concentrate solely on meeting the care needs of their child.
By conducting all assessments within the family's natural environment, our 24/7 in-home supervision provides a seamless and efficient approach. This approach is further strengthened by the involvement of a qualified independent social worker (ISW) who assesses the family based on the first-hand evidence provided by the family practitioners' direct and full-time supervision. This ensures the production of the best-quality evidence for an accurate and comprehensive assessment.
Supervised Contact

One of the key benefits of our supervised contact service is that it provides a safe environment for the child to interact with their non-resident parent. The presence of a safe adult during these interactions helps to ensure that any potential risks or harm are minimized or avoided altogether. This is particularly crucial in cases where there has been a history of harm or when there are concerns about the safety of the child.
As a child focused service, we prioritize the well-being and best interests of the child throughout the supervised contact process. Our practitioners are trained to observe and assess the quality of the interactions, ensuring that the child's emotional and physical needs are being met. By focusing on the child's needs, we help create an environment where they can feel safe, heard, and supported whilst facilitating a structured and positive contact between resident and non-resident parents.
Moreover, our service is utilized when the local authority, court, CAFCASS officer, or through self-referral determine that there is a risk of harm during contact. This proactive approach ensures that necessary precautions are taken to guarantee the child's safety, based on the professional expertise and assessments of those involved in the child protection system.
By offering supervised contact services, we aim to help parents re-establish positive relationships with their children. We understand that maintaining a healthy and supportive relationship with both parents is crucial for a child's emotional well-being and development. Parents are encouraged to interact with their children in meaningful and positive ways, fostering a supportive environment.
Our practitioners not only provide support and guidance to parents during contact sessions, but they also offer valuable feedback to social workers. This feedback helps inform accurate and comprehensive reports that reflect the entire situation, providing insights into the child's well-being and progress. As our practitioners are not qualified social workers, their objective observations and assessments contribute to a holistic understanding of the family dynamic, which ultimately helps determine the appropriate course of action for the child's welfare.

Our practitioners work collaboratively with the Social Worker to maintain detailed Daily Record Logs and share their findings with the referring agency.

Overall, our service ensures that children can build and sustain safe and positive relationships with their non-resident parents in a nurturing environment. Supporting children to thrive and the parents to nurture their connection with their children.
