Viability Assessments

Initial assessments to determine whether family members or connected persons are suitable to care for a child. Often conducted as part of care proceedings or pre-proceedings.

 

Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Assessments

In-depth evaluations of prospective Special Guardians, including full family and home assessments to inform court decisions.

 

Section 37 Reports

Court-ordered investigations where there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We assess and make recommendations regarding further safeguarding action.

 

Form F Foster Carer Assessments

Detailed assessments of prospective foster carers, including checks, references, home visits, and personal history, carried out to agency and regulatory standards.

 

Connected Person / Kinship Assessments

Assessment of relatives or close family friends offering care for a child, with focus on long-term suitability, safeguarding, and relationship quality.

 

Expert Witness Reports

Independent social work opinions for court proceedings, including specialist assessments such as: Risk assessments (domestic abuse, substance misuse), Reunification viability, Sibling relationship dynamics
